IT security company F-Secure is introducing its very first web series. It’s called “Understaffed” and a 4-minute pilot episode has just been published on YouTube.

The new sitcom, which features F-Secure actors, aims at raising awareness of cyber threats and their impact on users and organizations.

Each episode presents an F-Secure product and highlights the situation in which it should be utilized. The pilot introduces Security for Virtual and Cloud Environments by F-Secure.

The web series has potential, but it doesn’t quite convince me. The problem I see in this whole thing is that it’s somewhat funny, but not funny enough to make me laugh out loud.

On the other hand, it’s clearly a marketing stunt, but I can barely understand what the guy who recommends the F-Secure products is saying.

F-Secure follows in the footsteps of Trend Micro, which recently launched a 9-episode web series called 2020.

Check out the pilot episode of Understaffed and tell us what you think.
