Apple is effortlessly beating the anti-Windows drum. The most illustrative examples of Apple's position are its claims that Windows and Vista in particular have xeroxed the Mac OS. Based on the similarities at the interface level, Apple has not been shy of commenting that Microsoft is copying the innovative features it has introduced. However, the claims have not been supported by legal actions as yet.
Recently, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates revealed that he failed to get Apple's superiority and he defended Windows Vista by arguing that Apple too has found inspiration in Windows features.
Apple's ads are a source of humor, but at the same time, they are unfriendly jabs at Windows, and at Windows Vista. John Kellogg Hodgman, the man portraying a PC in the Apple ad available herein, is about to undergo surgery for the upgrade to Windows Vista. Apple's surgery message takes a swing at the hardware upgrades that are required for Windows Vista.
Apple has also not been shy at criticizing the Pleiads of Vista offers, when there is only one Mac OS X. The problem with this picture? Where is Mac OS X Leopard? Answer: due this spring.
