Creators the world’s most popular free-to-play MMORPG, RuneScape, have just announced the launch of a new game for the iPhone and iPod touch, namely Undercroft, a free dungeon-themed role-playing game (RPG).

According to the company, the new solution comes to users of an iPhone or iPod touch device with an extensive amount of gameplay, enabling player to command a party of heroes looking to lead their group to victory and defeat their enemies.

“We are very excited to announce the launch of Undercroft for iPhone and iPod Touch. Undercroft is an extremely rich RPG with a very classic and casual style of game play,” said Jagex’s Chief Operations Officer, Rob Smith.

“Players can enjoy well over 20 hours of gaming, taking control of a band of heroes who must battle through a fantasy world full of magic and monsters, completing many quests and side-quests. It will appeal to all fans of role-play adventure games and beyond.”

According to the company, users would benefit from a full game, something that should result in a great experience.

Some of the main features of the new game include:

- An extensive mobile game with a classic, retro feel - More than 20 hours of gameplay with excellent re-play potential - Intricate plot, with dozens of quests and additional side-quests - Turn-based combat system for strategic moves as well as fast attacks - 5 hero classes – Warrior, Mage, Priest, Summoner and Assassin - Interact with more than 750 items - Over 60 enemies to defeat

One can choose various strategies for deploying the said party of heroes, while being able to use a turn-based combat system to defeat enemies.

Undercroft lands on iPhone and iPod touch with 20 hours of gameplay, as it packs dozens of quests, along with a wide range of side quests for those who would like to explore more.
