14 DAY TRIAL // Last week, video game development studio Undead Labs took its forum offline after it was breached by a hacker from Saudi Arabia.
Undead Labs published a statement about the forum being down on November 30 and said they were working on technical problems. However, they haven’t mentioned anything about being hacked.
Researchers from Malwarebytes have managed to take a screenshot of the forum while it was defaced. The hacker, who uses the Twitter handle @security_511, published a list of email addresses on the defacement page.
Experts believe that the hacker might be a 19-year-old from Saudi Arabia called Binammar. However, on his Twitter account, the attacker has denied being “Binammar.”
“I'm not Binammar! What is this nonsense?” he wrote.
It’s uncertain what other information the hacker has managed to access, since Undead Labs hasn’t provided any additional details. At the time of writing, the forum is still down.
