After a leaked reveal earlier today, Naughty Dog and Sony officially confirm that Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is coming to the PS4 platform in early October, bringing the first three games in the series, all remastered in 1080p and 60fps, not to mention access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta.

The Uncharted series has been around for quite a few years now, as developer Naughty Dog has brought three stellar titles onto the PS3 platform, while Sony's Bend team has delighted PS Vita users with Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is coming this October to PS4

Now, while Naughty Dog is busy working on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Sony confirms that it's teamed with Bluepoint Games to deliver Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection this October for the PS4 platform, giving all console users a chance to go back through the original trilogy of adventure games.

According to the official announcement on the PS blog, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection includes Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. All of these titles are remastered to run at a 1080p resolution and 60fps framerate, while lots of other enhancements have been added, not to mention the popular Photo mode and a few other improvements.

"The team at Bluepoint Games is incomparable regarding their portfolio of ports and remastered releases, and we’ve been working closely with them to bring over our engine to make Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection an exemplary game. That means not only delivering the single-player campaigns in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures, and models, but also adding a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies," Naughty Dog explains.

The Nathan Drake Collection also brings Uncharted 4 beta access

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is going to launch on October 7 in Europe and PAL territories, and on October 9 in North America. The game is already available for pre-order and you can get a bonus Nathan Drake pack, with skins and guns, for free, not to mention a PS4 dynamic theme if you pre-purchase it from the PS Store.

However, the most important bonus is that all owners of The Nathan Drake Collection will be allowed into the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End multiplayer beta, which is set to take place at a later point in time, probably before the title's release in early 2016.

You can check out a brief teaser trailer for the upcoming collection and you can expect more details later this month, at Sony's E3 2015 press conference on June 15.
