The Uncharted movie project has once again hit a major snag, as a new report says that its director, Neil Burger, has exited the title, while two new writers have been brought it, in the form of Marianne and Cormac Wibberley, the duo behind the National Treasure series.

Sony has been supporting the development of a movie based on its Uncharted franchise for quite some time.

Multiple directors were attached to the project and rumors about casting choices have already surfaced last year.

Now, it appears that the latest director of the movie, Neil Burger, is no longer attached to the film, according to Variety.

The website also claims that two new writers have been brought in, in the form of Marianne and Cormac Wibberley, who’ll re-write the script.

After their work is done, a new director will be hired to bring the movie to completion.
