Some more details about Naughty Dog's upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief's End title have emerged, this time concerning the studio's impressions of the PS4 console, while a new piece of artwork has appeared online showcasing protagonist Nathan Drake.

By far one of the most anticipated games for the PS4 is Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, which promises to continue the stellar series made by developer Naughty Dog for the PS3, telling a new adventure in the life of treasure hunter Nathan Drake.

After confirming the game earlier this year with a very impressive trailer that was rendered by Naughty Dog's all-new engine for the PS4 platform, the studio has been quite reticent about revealing any other things about the actual title.

The PS4 allows Naughty Dog to make all-new features

Fortunately, the studio's representatives can still talk about the PS4 and how the console is shaping up now that most of its staff have experience with it, after launching The Last of Us Remastered this summer onto the new home console.

According to Naughty Dog Artist Andrew Maximov, who has talked with DualShockers, the console is great for both artists like himself but also in terms of a platform for programmers, who actually build the game.

The new device is going to allow Naughty Dog to implement some innovative features and you can bet that many will be present in Uncharted 4.

"PS4 is a great piece of hardware to work with, and I can say that not only having done art for it, but also having developed graphics features and written code for it. Now you probably can’t quote me on this but I personally believe that we’ll be able to roll out some features you’ve never ever seen before anywhere else. It should be really cool," he explains.

Uncharted 4 will really impress fans

In terms of the actual Uncharted 4 experience, Maximov limits himself to saying that fans will be very thrilled with the new action adventure experiences.

"It’s going to blow your socks off so hard that they’ll burn a hole through the Earth and come out on the other side – that’s all I can say really," he says.

Nathan Drake gets a new bit of artwork

What's more, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End protagonist Nathan Drake has also received a fresh bit of artwork, apparently from the special Naughty Dog 30th anniversary Art Show.

The image, seen above via Twitter, shows Drake in a new posture, as opposed to the one revealed in the trailer, and once again highlights the realistic character model that might be in the new game.
