After quite a few rumors and reports, Sony and Naughty Dog have confirmed that the multiplayer mode of Uncharted 3 is now free-to-play, as PS3 owners will be able to download it for free via the PS Store today in North America and tomorrow in Europe.

Uncharted 3 came out more than a year ago and delighted PS3 owners not just with a great single-player campaign starring Nathan Drake but also a top-notch multiplayer experience.

Now, Sony and Naughty Dog have confirmed that the online mode is available as a free download via the PS Store.

Those who get the free-to-play version of the Uncharted 3 multiplayer will be able to play up until level 15. After that, their progress will continue to be tracked but they won't be able to progress through the levels until they actually buy different unlocks, according to the PS blog.

In order to make things easier, the two companies have also released the Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Game of the Year Edition on the PS Store.
