Sony and Naughty Dog have confirmed that fans of the upcoming Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception can buy a special Fortune Hunters' Club DLC, effectively a Season Pass, which allows them to save money on all the future add-ons that will appear for it.

The latest trend in video games is the Season Pass, which allows fans of an upcoming game to buy it and get a discount on all the subsequent downloadable content that will be released for the title after its actual launch.

We've already seen Rockstar use such a system with L.A. Noire, as well as Epic Games with Gears of War 3. Now, Uncharted 3 is also going to take advantage of this system, as Sony has just introduced the Fortune Hunters' Club.

"The treasure seekers and Fortune Hunters that Nathan Drake deals with are known to be smart, resourceful, and a very exclusive bunch," Sony said. "Similarly, you the Uncharted fans, have told us that you want an option to get your DLC at a discount, and you want to get it like a Fortune Hunter would (quick and easy). This is the club for you, and now is the time to join it!"

Basically, if players get this DLC, which costs $24.99 (around 18 Euros), they'll save over 45% on all the content that will arrive for Uncharted 3, which consists of four multiplayer map packs and three multiplayer skin packs, the first of which hits in November.

What's more, the special Fortune Hunters' Club PS3 theme is also included, which offers a special XMB message each time a new DLC is released for Uncharted 3, linking directly to its PlayStation Store page.

While some may not like this Season Pass strategy, it's definitely a great deal for fans of Uncharted 3, allowing them to save money and make sure they'll get any and all future DLC for the game immediately.

The Uncharted 3 Fortune Hunters' Club DLC is available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store and at select retailers.
