Video game publisher Sony has announced that Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception has officially gone gold and that players who get new versions of the game will get a special bonus when they check the packaging.

The company has included a beta access code for the mix between shooter and strategy Starhawk, which will be launched in 2012 and should have a beta towards the beginning of the year.

The Uncharted 3 disk will also include four behind-the-scenes videos that show off how the game has been developed and produced, showing off the atmosphere inside the studios of Naughty Dog.

The developers are also saying that they are now working on extra content for the game that will be released towards the end of the year.

Players can still pre-order Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception if they are interested in getting a range of bonuses, exclusive weapons and mods that are linked to the multiplayer side of the game.

This new game will take Drake to the deserts of Arabia in search of an ancient treasure but, as always, the treasure hunter will end up involved in a much bigger plot which involves a worthy adversary named Kathleen Marlowe, the leader of a secret society that has worked towards an unknown goal for the last 400 years.

On the gameplay side Naughty Dog is promising to deliver more options than ever when controlling Drake, with players now able to perform more stealth attacks and to use the environments in contextual attacks.

The developers have also worked on the multiplayer side of the game, trying to make it as competitive and attractive as that of the first person shooters that tend to dominate the competitive space.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on November 1 in North America and one day later in Europe.
