Uncharted 2 Details Emerge

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was one of the most popular games for the PlayStation 3, as it put players in the shoes of an everyday man, Nathan Drake, who, as a result of some interesting circumstances, needed to explore an island in order to find the mythical treasure of El Dorado. He, together with two of his friends, embarked on an adventure against various enemies, also in search of the treasure.

The game received very positive reviews for the engaging story, the well-polished character and great gameplay, which used the features of the PS3 to the maximum. The great story even prompted Sony to contact reputed film producer Avi Arad to work on a movie adaptation of the title. Although the game was announced by Naughty Dog, its developer, as a franchise, not much was known about the sequel.

That is, up until now, as the new issue of GameInformer has a 10-page article about the next game in the Uncharted series. Entitled Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, the game is set to be launched next year, probably before the holiday season, and it will follow Nathan Drake's adventures in a story that revolves around Marco Polo, the famous 13th century explorer, and his voyages around the world.

This new game is set to introduce a series of innovations to the gameplay, as the developers thought a lot more systems could be implemented in it. A free climbing mechanic and a stealth gameplay feature are set to make an appearance in Uncharted 2, as this game promises to bring all new locations, characters and an original and engaging story. 

All in all, some very interesting details, which are sure to make all of the fans of the first game even more excited about this sequel. The first Uncharted became a must-have title for any PS3 user, and this future game is set to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor. Let's just hope that Naughty Dog and Sony will do a great job with this one and offer players a new breathtaking adventure through history alongside Nathan Drake.
