There won't be any signal obstruction going on now, company says

Wireless mice use either Bluetooth (not popular anymore, due to range and physical obstacle interference) or Wi-Fi to interface with PCs, or the USB-plugged receivers, but the one just released by Rapoo is different from them all, or most of them anyway.

It still uses Wi-Fi, but not the usual type. Instead of the 2.4 GHz band, it communicates over 5 GHz, the one that high-end dual-band routers exploit for super-fast over-air transmissions.

Thanks to 5 GHz, there won't be even the smallest signal loss tainting your gameplay session.

The mouse also has an optical sensor of 500 to 1,000 DPI and adjustable high-definition tracking engine (click the button beneath the scroll wheel to modify it on the fly).

Two AA batteries power the thing, and there's an on/off button on the underside too. A mini USB receiver is included in the box.

Rapoo's 7100P Wireless Optical Mouse is up for sale at $24.99 / €24.99.
