Nokia has just updated its software that allows users to upgrade their phone to the latest version. Dubbed Nokia Software Updater for Retail, the new version introduces a new feature that provides Nokia users with the possibility to unbrick their handsets.

As MyNokiaBlog points out, Nokia Software Updater for Retail version 4.1.0 is now capable of fixing an issue with Nokia phones that do not boot up.

Those who experience the “spinning cogs” issue will be pleased to know that this new addition to the software can fix this problem.

The procedure one has to follow in order to unbrick his phone is straightforward and does not require additional third-party apps, aside from the latest version of Nokia Software Updater for Retail.

You can now download Nokia Software Updater for Retail 4.1.0 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind though that the app is only compatible with Windows 7 and 8.
