Though Samsung has been prohibited from selling the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the US and other markets, it can still make however many new slates it wants.
The SGH-T779 is one such tablet, one that Samsung hasn't even announced yet.
SGH-T779 is a model number though. The actual marketing brand will likely be Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, unless this is just another version of the Galaxy Note 10.1.
A filing with the Federal Communications Commission has revealed all this, which, admittedly, isn't much.
The only details besides the name were the carrier (T-Mobile) and the support for 4G broadband communications.
It's not like we needed a new spec rundown though. Samsung's official microsite dedicated to the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is located here and has all the hardware and software (Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS) details cleanly categorized.
