It appears that Lenovo has turned out to be the owner of one of those products which somehow stumble into the view of the worldwide web, complete with product specifications and pricing details.

Lenovo has already confirmed the existence of a pair of tablets loaded with the Android 3.0 operating system.

That was about a week ago, but there was hardly any sort of information on the hardware or pricing scheme that the company had in mind for them.

Now, it seems that a different occurrence has exposed the specifications of the IdeaPad slate, although the real highlight is the price, since the hardware and most everything else about it haven't been a mystery for a while, what with online listings and CC approvals.

According to the folks over at Engadget, the product, whose full name is Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet K1, will sell for $499.99.

Considering that $500 has become a sort of standard nowadays, although models like Toshiba Thrive do manage to strike lower, this was not surprising.

That said, for those that want a reminder, the Android 3.0-loaded newcomer, like most other slates of this sort, has a display size of 10.1 inches.

Said panel has a native resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, while the amount of storage is a good 32 GB, which usually pushes other tablets to over the $500 mark.

As for connectivity and I/O, the product also has the obligatory WiFi connectivity, as well as two webcams, one on the front and one at the back.

It shouldn't take too long for Lenovo to reach availability, at which point the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. the aforementioned Toshiba slate, the HP TouchPad (which has a certain issue that won't allow it to edit documents for a while) and all other tablets will have one more challenger to deal with.
