South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics appears to be working on a new high-end smartphone following the official launch of LG G3, and some info on this device has already emerged online.

The phone has been spotted with model number LG-F460L attached to it and appears to be aimed at the vendor’s homeland market, South Korea.

In fact, a recent post on mylgphones claims that LG-F460L would be accompanied by two other models, namely LG-F460K and LG-F460S, aimed at wireless carriers LG U+, KT and SK Telecom, respectively.

What’s important to note about the yet unannounced smartphone is the fact that it might arrive on the market with a Snapdragon 805 (APQ8084) processor inside.

Moreover, rumor has it that the new device would sport 3GB of RAM, and that LG could pack it with a 13-megapixel camera on the back.

The mobile phone’s touchscreen display is said to be capable of delivering a Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixel) resolution, but its size is unknown for the time being.

Apparently, this might be none other than the LG Vu 4 smartphone that was supposedly set to arrive on shelves before the end of this year as the successor of last year’s LG Vu 3.

No official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now, but the rumor does not appear to be far-fetched, and LG might indeed release it as the next device in the LG Vu series.

Apparently, the fact that this device is real has been almost confirmed, as it has been spotted on the website of LG U+ and has also made an appearance on the LinkedIn profile of an LG senior research engineer.

However, the device has also been listed as LG G3, which could create a bit of confusion, suggesting that LG is considering the release of an updated version of the flagship handset in the coming months.

Considering the fact that LG G3 has been already released with top-of-the-line hardware specifications, and that it is already a highly popular device among end-users in South Korea, it would not make too much sense for the company to launch an update for it so soon.

One way or the other, LG-F460L which is said to sport the codename of Liger, should become official in the second half of the year as yet another very high-end smartphone from LG. Hopefully, additional details on what it has to offer will emerge soon, so keep an eye on this space to learn the news.
