Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is gearing up for the release of a new smartphone running under the Android operating system, and some leaked images with the device are now available for your viewing pleasure.

The photos have emerged online courtesy of weibo and show a stylish new handset, supposedly set to be released in the company’s popular Honor series of devices.

What’s interesting to note, however, is the fact that the images with the device’s alleged profile appear to be a bit different, so it remains to be seen which of them will pan out in the end.

Until some official info on the new mobile phone is provided, we should note that the device is also said to have made an appearance in AnTuTu, where it has managed to score 37999.

Spotted in the benchmarking application with model number H60-L02 attached, the new device appears to be one of the most powerful handsets out there.

Huawei Mulan is reportedly powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core Huawei Kirin processor, which is complemented by 3GB of RAM, thus clearly capable of offering great performance capabilities.

The rest of the hardware specs leaked on this device suggest that it will arrive on shelves as a high-end handset, as a recent article on GforGames notes.

The smartphone is said to feature a 4.9-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD 1080p resolution, and to run under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system right from the start.

Moreover, it should pack a 13-megapixel camera on the back, supposedly capable of recording videos at a resolution of at least 1080p. A 5.1-megapixel front camera should also be included on the device, to enable users to easily make video calls while on the go.

Unfortunately, these are the only details available on the new smartphone for the time being, though it’s clear that Huawei is getting ready for the release of a highly appealing smartphone, one that might also feature a more affordable price compared to other flagship devices out there.

What remains to be seen is when exactly the new handset will land on the market, and which countries will receive it. Based on the vendor’s latest market expansion plans, we could expect it to be released internationally.

Chances are that the new mobile phone will become official in the next several months, and that more details on its capabilities and features will be unveiled at that time, so stay tuned for additional info on the matter.
