One of the films that “Twilight” heartthrob has coming out this year is “Bel Ami,” starring a bevy of famous and talented actress, such as Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas. In a recent interview, Uma disses “Twilight” in a very subtle way.

Speaking with the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar, the actress reveals that, while she has nothing but respect for Pattinson, she doesn't have much good to say about the franchise whose star he is.

HollywoodLife, for instance, sees in this a subtle diss, though one could argue that Uma isn't quite in the age demographic for the vampire saga.

“To answer the ubiquitous question about this movie, yes, Robert is good-looking in person, but he doesn’t have that diamond-sparkle skin like in those Dracula movies,” she says.

She might now know the name of the film franchise that made Pattinson a household name, but she has only nice things to say about him.

“He’s a very disciplined, very serious, very ambitious, very organized actor,” Uma explains.

As for her own role, which will see her in some revealing situations as she gives in to the charms of Bel Ami, she jokes that probably all women dream of working in corsets.

“It was a fun character, a nice, meaty, dramatic role, and who doesn't love an excuse to wear a corset?” the star says.

As we also informed you a while back, “Bel Ami” is an adaptation of the novel by Guy de Maupassant of the same name.

The first official trailer for the film, released in December last year, sees Pattinson as the charming leading man, using women to climb the social ladder and then discarding them as he would dirty socks.

“Bel Ami” will arrive in the UK on March 2, 2012 but a release in the US is still uncertain.
