A short while ago, actress Uma Thurman called off her engagement to businessman Arpad “Arki” Busson for what feels like the millionth time. Reports are now saying she’s found comfort and love again in the arms of Oscar-winning director Quentin Tarantino, who happens to be one of her longtime friends and collaborators.

Uma and Quentin have always shared a special bond, ever since they met on the set of “Pulp Fiction,” which he directed off a script he also wrote. They have been close friends ever since and got even closer when he directed her in “Kill Bill.”

However, not once were they rumored to be romantically involved because, for all we know, they probably never were.

That last part changed earlier this month, when they were both at the Cannes Film Festival 2014. The photo above was of the two arriving at the event before the official closing, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of “Pulp Fiction.” John Travolta joined them on the red carpet but the most amazing moment came when Uma and Quentin danced for the photographers.

Us Weekly is now saying that the two are lovers, after spending a lot of time together at Cannes, “where they even shared a villa.” “They had a thing and got together again recently. He's loved her for years,” an unnamed insider confirms.

“There has always been an attraction. She has indulged from time to time, and that's how their relationship has always worked,” the source continues.

As for why they became involved just now, the same media outlet believes it was simply a question of perfect timing, on top of the amazing chemistry they always had. Quentin has been single for some time and, when Uma turned to him for a shoulder to cry on after she and Busson broke up, things progressed in this direction.

And they’re perfectly happy this way.

From her previous marriage to Ethan Hawke, Uma has two children, a daughter and a son aged 16 and 12, respectively. She and Busson have a daughter who is only 22 months old, named (brace yourself!) Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson.

Still, that Quentin has always held a special place in her heart was pretty obvious in a 2004 interview cited by the glossy, as she talked about how different they both were in real life and how fabulously they got along regardless of this.

“I think we're really different people actually, but that's what's fun about talking to each other. We have very different perspectives,” Uma said.

As they say, opposites do attract and this also seems to be the case here.

Confirmation from reps of both stars on the so-called romance is pending so, until it comes, it’s best if you take the above with a grain of salt. If these two are really dating (and they would make a very fascinating couple, we admit), we’ll probably know on the next red carpet or when they step out for errands, because the paparazzi are already watching.
