Company developed 2mm ‘thick’ vapor chamber for cooling CPUs

The confined space available inside Ultrabooks has forced companies building parts for these devices to come out with some impressive hardware, but CCI takes this one step further with its newly developed 2mm ‘thick’ vapor chambers.

These solutions were showcased during AMD’s TFE show and are some of the thinnest and lightest vapor chambers we have ever laid our eyes on.

Despite their small size, the larger of the two units showcased by CCI is capable of dissipating no less than 17W, which is the magic number for the Intel ULV processors used for Ultrabooks.
