The developer of UltraDefrag released an update for the defragmentation freebie. It is a minor build that brings to the table a very short list of changes.

The FAQ section available from the “Help” menu of the application now contains instructions for setting version 6 of the program to optimize in a similar manner as the previous major release.

Starting this revision, users of Windows 7 and above should see a single entry with a sub-menu in the context menu.

Apart from these changes, the new version comes with updated translations for a few languages.

Beginning with the next major version (7.0), UltraDefrag will change the GUI framework to wxWidgets.

UltraDefrag is a free disk defragmentation utility. You can get it from this page; it is also available as a portable download.
