Capcom has revealed the release dates for the digital and retail versions of Ultra Street Fighter 4, the update to the highly popular fighting game.

The game will be released across Europe on June 4 on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 home entertainment system and on the Xbox Live Games Store for the Xbox 360 console from Microsoft.

The update will reach Steam for PC on August 8, at the same time that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 retail versions will be in stores, along with the full digital bundles of Street Figher 4 and Ultra Street Fighter 4.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 introduces five new warriors to the already extensive roster of playable characters. Hugo, Rolento, Poison and Elena make a comeback to the game, along with a completely new and never-before-seen brawler, Decapre, one of M. Bison's dolls.

She has an all-new approach to fighting, with unique and accessible moves that allow her to be played by both newcomers as well as veterans of the game, unlocking her full potential. She is also the first character in the game who is able to mix air throws into her combos.

The update raises the number of playable fighters to a whopping 44, while also adding six new battle environments, such as Pitstop 109, Cosmic Elevator, Half Pipe and more, bringing some new variety to the action.

In addition to the new content, the update also comes with a slew of balance tweaks, offering the best Street Fighter experience ever, while also introducing some much anticipated features such as the ability to practice your moves while waiting for online challenges and the option to record offline matches and incredible feats and then upload them and share them with the world.

Players who pre-order the digital upgrade to Ultra Street Fighter 4 on the European PSN or the full retail version at select retailers will receive a nice treat in the form of the 2014 Challengers Costume Pack, offering alternate costumes for all new characters for free.

The included costumes are Jungle Elena, Pirate Poison, Wizard Rolento, Medieval Hugo and Gladiator Decapre, and if you're wondering just what the skins look like, just check out the trailer at the bottom of this article.

Players who purchase the retail versions for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 or the full digital bundles for PS3, Xbox 360 or PC will receive all previously released costumes for the game, making Ultra Street Fighter 4 the definitive version of the acclaimed fighting game.
