The fighting game is encountering some issues at Capcom

The development process for Ultra Street Fighter 4, the next iteration in the fighting series, isn't going so well, as a Capcom representative reportedly confirmed that the game would only be playable at December's Capcom Cup, despite being scheduled for earlier events.

Street Fighter IV delivered a great experience back in 2009 and, since then, Capcom has launched several new editions with bonus fighters, mechanics, and tweaks.

The latest one will be Ultra Street Fighter 4, which debuts in early 2014 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

According to EventHubs, who talked with a Capcom representative, work on the game "isn't where it should be at this point."

As such, the game won't be playable until December's Capcom Cup, meaning other shows won't feature it until that time.

A delay wasn't mentioned, but the loose release schedule will certainly allow Capcom to give the development team to polish the experience.
