She will be the first character in the series able to combo with her air throws

When Ultra Street Fighter 4's latest mystery character was revealed to be Decapre, one of M. Bison's Dolls, many fans pointed out the uncanny similarities between the new toon and Cammy.

Although the two warriors are strikingly similar on the outside, their two play styles are completely different. Decapre's fighting style revolves around trickery, as Peter Rosas, Street Fighter's Community Specialist and Battle Director revealed. As such, even though she may resemble the stalwart Cammy, she fights completely different, with an entirely new move-set.

Decapre has a lot of fast moves where she teleports behind her opponent or teleports across the screen, and it's a very fast-paced combat style that's different to the ones employed by the game's existing characters.

"If you were to watch this character as she teleports, you know where she could potentially end up, but it's all a guess at that point," Rosas stated.

Players in control of Decapre can decide how far she teleports when using her special moves by using one of the three punch buttons, and opponents will be able to see that she is about to teleport, but they will have no way of knowing exactly where she will appear.

Skilled players will be able to guesstimate where she might end up, but for the large part it will be a matter of reacting as fast as possible once she initiated the move.

"She's trick-heavy, so she can knock you down and then mix it up. It's a back and forth, and it's a matter of whether the opponent can react in time. That's the strategy with her," Rosas explained.

In addition to starring for the first time in a Street Fighter game, she also introduces a whole new move to the series. Decapre is the first character who can combo with her air-throws. Other fighters are only able to throw a character from the air if both jump at the same time, but Decapre is able to begin attacking the opponent, throw him into the air by using the special move, and then jump up and throw them back to the ground.

"I think when people try that out for the first time and see that she can actually combo air throws, it will open up a new style of offense," Rosas said.

Decapre's Ultra will summon a power orb that will slowly gravitate toward the enemy. It has such a large range that trying to jump over the orb will most likely result in clipping the character's back against it.

She can then walk into the orb and use it as a shield, or position herself behind it so if the opponent tries to jump over it she is ready to attack them and throw them back into its path.

Decapre will join Rolento, Hugo, Poison and Elena as the newest additions to Street Fighter 4's roster, in the Ultra Street Fighter 4 update, scheduled for launch in April in Japanese arcades, followed by a release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 home entertainment systems, and then on PC later in August, 2014.
