One of them has a touch-based numpad, the other a trackpad like on laptops

Thin keyboards don't have enough room, height-wise, for mechanical switches, but that's okay because the two that Rapoo has just made aren't meant for games, but for multimedia and remote control.

Called E9080 and E9180 Wireless Touchpad Keyboards, the newcomers both have thicknesses of just 5.6 mm and are basically fusions between normal wireless keyboards and touchpads (one touchpad each).

Then again, maybe they aren't so “normal” after all, because instead of the standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi technology, they use 5 GHz for the cableless connection.

Rapoo says that 5 GHz was chosen instead of 2.4 GHz to ensure no interference from all other Wi-Fi items you may own.

Anyway, the E9080 Wireless Touchpad Keyboard has a touch-based numpad. Basically, instead of numbers, you get to type on a flat surface, though you can use it to substitute for a mouse as well, like a trackpad of a laptop computer. A finger slide switches between the roles.

The E9180P Wireless Touchpad Keyboard is identical to the other, save that it has configurable gesture functions, but lacks the numpad definers.

Both peripherals have Fn multimedia keys and a price of $60 / €60. They should both be shipping worldwide, or at least in the USA.
