After an early April Fools hoax made on League of Legends fans from all over the world with the New Ultra Rapid Fire mode that slowed everything down, Riot Games confirms that the regular Ultra Rapid Fire mode is now back in the multiplayer game, with quite a few changes over last year's iteration.

League of Legends is a massively popular game with tens of millions of fans from all over the world. As such, developer Riot Games has tried hard to ensure that everyone is happy with the game and that they're having fun.

Last year, the studio introduced a hoax game mode called Ultra Rapid Fire that removed mana costs for spells and basically turned the game into a free-for-all brawler. The mode was such a hit that the studio extended its availability throughout April.

Earlier this week, Riot announced that April Fools 2015 was going to bring the New Ultra Rapid Fire mode that actually slowed everything down in order to turn League of Legends into a turn-based experience.

An enhanced Ultra Rapid Fire mode is now available

Now, the studio confirms that, instead of the New Ultra Rapid Fire mode, League of Legends is getting a modified version of the regular Ultra Rapid Fire that launched last year.

Just like last time, mana costs for spells and abilities have been removed, but there are some new changes to healing and shielding abilities, which grow in potency as time goes on.

New champions, like Ryze and Kassadin, are available this time around, while many other characters have received some major changes to ensure that they're fun in Ultra Rapid Fire mode. These modifications include nerfs to keep everything balanced, and buffs to ensure that they can stand up to enemies.

You can check out all the details on the official website and start playing Ultra Rapid Fire mode in League of Legends right now, as there's no patch or update needed to run it.
