You will never guess who has brought in to the mobile market yet another "world's slimmest" mobile device! Or you would because the only ones branding their cellphones with such a daring etiquette are the guys from Samsung. And they really deserve this brand because those phones they have released until now really are something to be amazed by and for what we have been able to see with our own eyes they pretty much have outdone themselves while designing and developing these types of handsets.

The subject of this article is their newest addition to the worldwide cellphone line-up, that being the Ultra Edition 10.9 slider. If you don't know yet why this phone seems to be an old acquaintance or why you have the impression you've seen it somewhere before, then it being the direct child of the older Samsung D900 might explain a lot of things regarding those questions you could be asking yourself.

Why in the world would Samsung keep their phones to starve and release them while they seem virtually on the verge of collapsing like a sick puppy that had nothing to eat for a few days? Maybe because the customers ask for those kinds of cellphones, because they want to have the "world's slimmest/thinnest" handsets in their pockets and - more importantly - because this is what evolution is all about.

I only wonder when they will release some type of "world's first inexistent yet working cellphone" with negative thickness and probably being used by remote control from a parallel universe :).

The 10.9 mm Ultra Edition has shaved exactly 2 mm from the "thickness" of the D900 and now the damn thing almost looks like a very sharp razor blade. Could you get hurt if you happen to slide it down your cheek by mistake? Don't know that yet because we're yet to find out about it after its official launch on the mobile market.

This device features a 3.2 megapixel camera, a multimedia player with support for MP3 and video files, 80 MB of internal memory like its step brother the Ultra Edition 5.9 does and a microSD memory expansion card slot to complete the available spec sheet in style.

The ones of you looking forward for a 1st degree meeting with this wasp waisted cellphone don't have very long to wait because rumors say Samsung is going to put it on its way to the retail stores beginning with February 12 after its official release at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.
