Ultimate Edition Gamers 2.8 Includes Linux Games for All Ages

Announced by TheeMahn on November 25th, Ultimate Edition Gamers 2.8, a popular Linux distribution based on Ubuntu, brings to Linux users lots of pre-added games in a 4GB, downloadable DVD ISO image. Being built off Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) by hand, Ultimate Edition Gamers 2.8 is definitely one of the most awaited and fun Linux operating systems.

The newest version of PlayOnLinux is also included in Ultimate Edition Gamers 2.8, in order to allow installation of Microsoft Windows-based games and applications.

A new repository filled to the hilt with games has also been pre-added to allow the end user to install additional games if so desired. Many of these games are unavailable in Ubuntu’s repository. Ultamatix, is also available with 48 games at your disposal." - was stated in the announcement.

Besides the above-mentioned games, the Ultimate Edition Gamers 2.8 operating system also includes many useful applications and desktop environments, such as KDE SC, GNOME or XFCE.
