A bunch of Apple fans in the Ukraine have created 2,860 iCoins featuring the face of Steve Jobs on one side, and a famous quote of his (although technically it’s not really his) on the other side.

Steve Jobs is quite a figure among Russian-speaking Apple fans. A memorial to Jobs is about to be built in Kiev, and there are others scattered across Russia and other countries that speak the Slavic language. So the iCoin isn’t really a surprise.

2,860 units have been built using metals ranging from copper and nickel, to silver, and gold (plated). They’re collectors’ items and cost a great deal of money to own, but the authors are certain they’ll be giving them away fast.

The creators also say that 10% of the proceeds from all iCoin sales will be used to erect a new Steve Jobs memorial in Kiev.
