14 DAY TRIAL // Ubuntu has won another award, this time for LinuxQuestions.org Desktop Distribution of the Year 2013.
The LinuxQuestions.org community set up an online poll to find out which was the most popular distribution out there, at least among its members.
Ubuntu managed to get the first place, followed closely by Slackware, Debian in the third place, and Linux Mint in fourth.
The rest of the Linux distributions mentioned in the poll didn't even come close to these four, although, to be fair, I spotted a couple that don't even exist anymore.
Ubuntu is a Debian-based distribution built by Canonical. A new LTS version called Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 14.04, is scheduled to be launched on April 17.
This may not be the most precise poll out there, but it still shows that Ubuntu is among the preferred Linux distributions.
