Ladies and gentlemen, dear geeks, the time has come to introduce to you the perfect operating system for your tiny and fancy Asus Eee PC portable computer, the Ubuntu Eee 8.04! Being based on the Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) and compatible with its repositories, the
Ubuntu Eee operating system is optimized for the Asus Eee PC. Not only that, but it also has everything we've expected from an Ubuntu OS, such as:

• Mozilla Firefox 3.0 RC1 (web browser)
• Mozilla Thunderbird (mail client)

Gobuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) was launched this week and, along with the release, the development team announced that they intended to merge some of Gobuntu's features into the mainline Ubuntu. Among these features is also the "Free Software Only" option that will be found in the installer and will allow you to have an Ubuntu installation comprising only 100% FREE software.

In other news, the first alpha version of Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) was delayed a few days and will probably become available in just a short while.

Now, let's move on to the security updates and fixes for all the Ubuntu releases. Let's start with the common security updates for all Ubuntu distros:

• OpenSSL Blacklist update
• OpenVPN regression
• Xorg vulnerabilities

...and now, let's take a closer look at the updates for Ubuntu 6.06 LTS:

we are trying to install openbravo in ubuntu9.1,but we are not able to do as we are getting error like when we are putting the command sudo apt-get install postgresql-8.2,it's showing package couldn't install.so like we neede postgresql-8.2 for installing......but we are not able to find it.......can u plz help me with this.....

Try with the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install postgresql

It will automatically install the latest version of the PostgreSQL 8.4 server and client.
