Canonical announced on Thursday that they would resell the famous Parallels Workstation software through Ubuntu Partner Repository. What is Parallels Workstation? It is a virtualization software that allows users to easily run multiple operating systems side-by-side on a single computer without rebooting. Read more about this partnership here.

We've released a Top 10 of Ubuntu-based distributions on Thursday. The classification
was based on the number of downloads each distribution has on Softpedia and it includes only 100% FREE and English-based distros. We didn't include distributions from the Ubuntu family, such as Kubuntu, Edubuntu or Xubuntu, as many of you expected, just because it would not be fair for third-party developers to include these distros. Now, let's move on to the security updates and fixes for all the Ubuntu releases. First, the common security updates:

• [USN-574-1] Linux kernel vulnerabilities
• [USN-575-1] Apache vulnerabilities
• [USN-576-1] Firefox vulnerabilities

The updates for Ubuntu 6.06 LTS are:

• apache2 2.0.55-4ubuntu2.3

• firefox 1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.15~prepatch080202a-0ubuntu1

Next, the updates for Ubuntu 6.10:

The updates for Ubuntu 7.04 are:
