Ubuntu Tablet OS to Be Announced on February 19

Well, well, well, what have we here? Yes, the above screenshot is from the Ubuntu website, which means that (most probably) Canonical will announce a tablet OS based on their amazing and powerful Ubuntu operating system.

Looks like Canonical is trying really hard to get into the mobile market, as they are now teasing us with a countdown (20 hours left at the time of writing) for a supposedly tablet operating system powered by Ubuntu, on the Ubuntu.com website.

Now that Ubuntu Phone OS, a.k.a. Ubuntu OS for smartphones, will be out for download this Thursday, February 21, Canonical thinks it’s time to work on a more advanced Ubuntu operating system, this time for tablets only.

That’s all we know for now! Come back tomorrow for the actual announcement of Ubuntu Tablet OS, it should be fun.

Canonical should brand it uOS and the uPhone and the uPad or uTablet
