As we've announced earlier today, Canonical will showcase these days at CES 2012 an Ubuntu TV device featuring the Unity interface. A few minutes ago, Canonical unleashed the Ubuntu TV website, presenting
its features and detailed specifications (see below for details).
· Support for ARM and x86 boards;
· Local storage support for DVR functionality (SSD recommended);
· Hardware accelerated video capable of displaying HD content at 1080p;
· Digital audio out;
· USB host support;
· HDMI support;
· CEC support;
· Bluetooth HCI interface;
· Network connectivity: Gigabit Ethernet & Wireless b/g/n support;
· Modular tuner for broadcast TV (Cable, Satellite, and Terrestrial);
· Minimum video memory: 512 MB;
· Minimum disk space: 2GB;
· Minimum memory: 1GB.
