Ubuntu Studio 13.04 Receives New Wallpaper and Apps

After the release of Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu-GNOME 13.04, Ubuntu Kylin, Kubuntu 13.04, Lubuntu 13.04, Edubuntu 13.04 and Xubuntu 13.04, it is now time to announce the immediate availability for download of the Ubuntu Studio 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) Linux operating system for audio, video and graphics professionals and enthusiasts.

Being powered by Linux kernel 3.8 (low-latency), Ubuntu Studio 13.04 is dubbed Raring Ringtail and includes a brand-new wallpaper (Rock theme), as well as new menu items and new Ubiquity.

Moreover, Ubuntu 13.04 comes with the Xfce 4.10 desktop environment and new applications, such as LMMS, Kdenlive, recordMyDesktop and Krita. Pulseaudio 3.0 and JACK Audio Connection Kit 1.9.9 are also part of this release.

Ubuntu Studio 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) will be supported for 9 months, until January 2014, and it is distributed only as Live DVD ISO images, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
