Ubuntu Studio 12.04 (Precise Pangolin), a multimedia editing/creation version of Ubuntu, has received its fourth update in the series.

The Ubuntu Studio development team has joined the other distributions that decided to have another point release in the 12.04 branch (Precise Pangolin). As expected, this is not something to write home about, but it's important nonetheless.

“Another point release of Ubuntu Studio 12.04 is out. For Ubuntu Studio users this is merely a new ISO build containing all security updates up until now. If you have 12.04 already installed, you will have received all updates from regular system updates,” reads the announcement from the developers.

We covered the release of Ubuntu 12.04.4 (Precise Pangolin) in more detail in our original report, and it comes with quite a few interesting things, including a new Linux kernel.
