Ubuntu Privacy Remix 10.04r2 Is Based on Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS

Andreas Heinlein proudly announced yesterday, December 6th, the immediate availability for download of the Ubuntu Privacy Remix 10.04r2 operating system.

Dubbed Locked Lynx, Ubuntu Privacy Remix 10.04r2 is based Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS (Lucid Lynx) and includes the following highlights:

· Includes Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS updates as of October 14th, 2011;
· Distributed as a Hybrid-ISO image (USB flash drives are now recommended for installation);
· Added Tellico, a small database tool;
· Added Grsync, a tool for making backups;
· Added X-Tile, a tool to arrange windows;
· Updated TrueCrypt to version 7.0a;
· Updated the GPG-Frontend, new features were added and bugs were fixed;
· Reworked the handling of TrueCrypt volumes from the ground up. Nautilus will now handle the TrueCrypt containers, as well as fully-encrypted devices. Also, a wizard has been added to easily create TrueCrypt volumes;
· Fixed lots of bugs and implemented small features.
