We reported about the Ubuntu Powered Parallella Supercomputer and the company that tries to build it when they were raising money through Kickstarter. It seems that their initiative was more than successful.

Parallella: A Supercomputer For Everyone is a project that will provide an affordable supercomputer for regular users, at a very low price.

“THANK YOU AGAIN for putting up your hard earned money to back this project. We will do everything possible and then some not to let you down.”

“A special thank-you goes out to all the courageous backers and writers who went to bat for this project in the last few days. Without you, there would be no Parallella!” stated the Adapteda developers on Kickstarter.

The components that will be used to build the Parallella supercomputer are: a dual-core ARM A9 CPU, Epiphany Multicore Accelerator (with 16 or 64 cores), 1GB RAM, 1 MicroSD Card, two USB 2.0 slots, two general purpose expansion connectors, gigabyte Ethernet port, HDMI connection, and Ubuntu OS.

People who backed the project on Kickstarter should check out their official announcement in order to receive the appropriate bonuses.
