Canonical announced that the Ubuntu Open Week for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) will take place between 2nd to 4th May, 2012, on the usual Ubuntu IRC channel, #ubuntu-classroom.

The Ubuntu Open Week event was created to teach end users who to work with the tools included in the Ubuntu operating system through Q+A sessions.

End users and developers alike will also have the opportunity to ask Mark Shuttleworth, father of the Ubuntu OS, various questions regarding the popular Linux operating system. Be aware that the "Ask Mark" session will be held today, May 1st, 2012, at 9:00 pm UTC.

You can check out the complete Ubuntu Open Week schedule on its official homepage. If you want to attend the Ubuntu Open Week, you can connect using your web browser or any IRC client to the following address: irc.freenode.net.

The main session will take place on the #ubuntu-classroom channel and the #ubuntu-classroom-chat channel will be used only for questions. The Ubuntu classroom opens May 2nd from 13:00 to 18:00 UTC and it ends on May 4th.
