Ubuntu One team announced today, February 20th, that the Vodafone company has recently added the Ubuntu One Files app on their Vodafone AppSelect app store for the Android platform.

Vodafone offers the Ubuntu One Files app in the following countries: United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Russia, Portugal, and Greece.

The Ubuntu One Files app is available for free on the Android and iPhone mobile devices, letting users manage and secure their files/photos directly from their mobile device, from anywhere in the world.

"Users tell us they love the seemingly magic way U1 Files automatically sends photos taken from their phones directly to their personal cloud and other devices."

"So snap away, and forget about uploading, sending or tethering to other devices – Ubuntu One takes care of that for you." - was stated in the blog announcement.

Featuring 5GB of free storage, the Ubuntu One Files app is available for download on Ubuntu, Windows, Android and iOS platforms.
