Ubuntu's foray into the mobile universe continues, as Canonical has just announced today, April 24th, that its Ubuntu One Files Android app now supports Instagram.

A couple of weeks ago the iPhone users were deprived of Instagram and now everyone that wields a smartphone with Android can also use the popular service. It's only natural that Canonical also extends the Ubuntu One Files app to include Instagram.

According to a post on the Ubuntu One official blog, the U1 Files app now supports auto-upload from other photo apps. So if you’re into Instagram, the U1 Files app will automatically upload all those cool images to your Ubuntu One personal cloud, making them available on all your devices.

A few other features are also available, such as auto-upload only when the device is charging, auto-upload when roaming is not default, gallery auto upload, and many others.
