The latest version of Ubuntu Kylin can be downloaded from Softpedia

Ubuntu Kylin, a new addition to the Ubuntu family that aims to provide a more suitable distribution for the Chinese users, is now at version 14.04 Alpha 2 (Trusty Tahr).

Ubuntu Kylin 14.04 Alpha 2 has joined the other releases, along with Kubuntu, Xubuntu, and Ubuntu GNOME.

“We are glad to announce the Release of Ubuntu Kylin 14.04 Alpha 2. In this pre-Release, the Linux Kernel is updated to 3.13. This Alpha 2 fixed more than ten bugs, but there are still several bugs untouched. We further upgrade our features such as youker-assistant, Kingsoft kuaipan client for Ubuntu Kylin, and fcitx-qimpanel. Some new feature are still in process,” reads the official announcement.

Like all the other distributions in the 14.04 series, Ubuntu Kylin will benefit from five years of support.
