The final version of Ubuntu Kylin 13.10 will be released on October 17

The first Beta release of the upcoming Ubuntu Kylin 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) was also released by Canonical, bringing a couple of cool Unity Scopes, an updated WPS, and other interesting changes.

Ubuntu Kylin 13.10 has been greatly customized in order to make the entire operating system more appropriate for its audience. Moreover, the Youker Assistant application has been added in order to help users manage their system conveniently.

The Unity China Video Scope and Unity China Photo Scope were added in this release, allowing users to search videos via the Youku service, as well as to search photos via the Sogou service. A new WPS version is also available in this version.

Ubuntu Kylin 13.10 Beta 1 is distributed as Live DVD ISO images, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
