Canonical announced that the Ubuntu Global Jam event for the upcoming Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) operating system will take place in one week, between 2nd and 4th March, 2012.

"Everyone is able to contribute to the Jam, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to get involved. Curious about how to make a real difference to Ubuntu? This is a great chance to make that difference."

"The Ubuntu Global Jam incorporates events that have been organized over the world to get Ubuntu contributors and fans together to have a great time and improve Ubuntu." - was stated on the event's page.

Ubuntu Global Jam is an world-wide face-to-face and online event that aims to gather people from the Ubuntu community in order to fix bugs, collect bugs, as well as Ubuntu testing, documenting and translating.
