The second Alpha in the new Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 LTS branch is now available for download

Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 LTS Alpha 2 (Trusty Tahr) has been released and is now available for download and testing.

Ubuntu GNOME developers have implemented a number of new features that should make users very happy.

“We’re preparing Ubuntu GNOME 14.04, the Trusty Tahr, for distribution in April 2014. With this early Alpha pre-release, you can see what we are trying out in preparation for our next version,” reads the official announcement.

Highlights of Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 LTS Alpha 2 (Trusty Tahr):

• Gnome-shell 3.10 is now included in the distribution; • A number of apps have now been updated to GNOME 3.10; • GNOME Classic session is included. To try it, choose it from the Sessions option on the login screen.
