There are still 18 days left in the crowd-funding campaign

Canonical’s Ubuntu Edge campaign has cleared another hurdle and passed the 25% mark for its crowd-funding campaign.

Canonical is asking for a record amount of money from the community, $32 million (€24 million). It seems like a lot of money and a lot of customers and fans are not sure that the Ubuntu Edge will become a reality.

Nonetheless, clearing the 25% mark is an achievement on its own and the Ubuntu Edge campaign is on track, if we reference other crowd-funding projects on IndieGoGo.

All the projects slow down after their first week and they usually pick up after, in the late stages. Whether this is the case with Ubuntu Edge remains to be seen.

Ubuntu Edge is a phone developed by Canonical and it's scheduled for launch in May 2014. More details about the price and the specifications can be found in our initial report.
