14 DAY TRIAL // The next batch of Ubuntu wallpapers destined for the 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) have been released and they are ready to ship.
Every new edition of Ubuntu incorporates a number of wallpapers, 18 in this case, chosen from the community. All the wallpapers follow some strict rules and the selection is done through a contest.
The selection is composed of both nature-inspired images and abstract ones, and most users will find something they like. After quite a long time, the community also chose a funnier one, with a grinning salamander.
Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) is expected to arrive on October 17 and two days from now the distribution will enter feature freeze.
Moreover, the official default wallpaper hasn't been chosen yet, but you shouldn't get your hopes up because it will probably be yet another rehash of the old one.
