Ubuntu 13.10 Beta was made available for download by Canonical earlier today, September 26, and we thought that it would be a good idea to give you guys a visual tour of its highlights.
Dubbed Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.10 Beta uses the 3.11.0-8.15 Ubuntu Linux kernel, which is based on the upstream Linux kernel 3.11.1. It also features Upstart 1.10, CUPS 1.6.2, cups-filters 1.0.34, and Python 3.3.
As mentioned in our previous article, Ubuntu 13.10 Beta is distributed as Live DVD ISO images, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. Along with this release, the Kubuntu 13.10 Beta 2 has also been unveiled today.
