14 DAY TRIAL // Canonical announced yesterday, August 21st, that the Ubuntu Wallpaper Contest for the upcoming 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) release is now open for submissions.
Finally, Canonical wants some quality background images for its Ubuntu distribution, therefore the rules were changed and those who want to participate will have to submit only one photo. The deadline for submissions is August 28th, at 5 PM, and only 10 images will be selected as finalists.
"Quantal is well on the way to being the great release we’ve come to expect from Ubuntu so it’s time to add to that sheen with a set of quality wallpapers from our fantastic community."
"This cycle we’re going to try to make the process better than before by setting out a clearer vision for what we think will make a great set." - was stated in the blog announcement.
