I wish I could run KDE on notebook, it feels and looks so great, but it just can not handle it, it can handle Win7 and Win8 like a lightening, but not KDE or Gnome, it can hardly manage xfce or lxde versions only. But as long as it is free, it can sucks as long as it runs.

If my hunch is correct & Microsoft's Windows 8 turns out to be a awful as I suspect its going to be on traditional PC's & desktops. Then I think its quite possible, even probable that Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS will see a certain rise in those users who prefer Linux over Windows. Ubuntu Linux is already on a par or dare I say this better than Windows 7 so I think Microsoft are pursuing the wrong strategy chasing tablet/smartphone/laptop arena at the expense of desktop users. Ubuntu Linux just gets better & better IMO.
